Mrs. Morgan and students in the STEAM Lab

The new STEAM Lab at SMS is up and running and teachers are taking full advantage of the opportunities it offers.

Mrs. Kristen Bailey was the first teacher to utilize the lab this year with her Preparing for College and Careers class. The group used the soft skills of communication and collaboration to build towers using spaghetti, marshmallows, string and tape. The largest tower built was 38.5 inches!

Jessica Morgan, STEAM lab director, is excited to continue hosting classes in the lab and helping to make learning more fun with hands-on learning activities.
