Congratulations to the SMS swim team of Cole Martin, Cole Cissna, Greyson Brough
and Claire Schmaltz. The group set a school record in the Mixed 200 Yard Free Relay with a time of 1:53.23 (Salem’s previous record was 1:58.65 in 2009) against Switzerland County and Madison on Tuesday night.
Salem Middle School recently hosted The Great History Challenge. Here are the regional winners from the event:

7th - EJ Bowman, Addison Buchanan, Corbin Ponder, Maddox Wilson

These students have been invited to compete in Nationals, which is in Orlando, FL.

Sixth graders in Mrs. Abner’s Digital Citizenship class visited the STEAM lab to create a new invention. They used the Engineering Design Process to develop a new product. They built and tested the product. This week they will work on developing a marketing strategy for their product and will present their invention to others. The goal was to develop a prototype that could be sold.
FCA will meet this Wednesday morning from 7:35-7:55 a.m. in the STEAM lab. Chase King will be our speaker. Invite a friend to come with you and come join us!
